West Bengal’s political arena is buzzing with BJP leader Rohan Gupta’s forthright prediction: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s tenure is on the brink of collapse. In a no-holds-barred critique, Gupta rubbished Banerjee’s go-to strategy of portraying herself as a perpetual victim, insisting it holds no water anymore.

Detailing a litany of failures, Gupta recounted how TMC’s rule has bred violence, from the horrific Sandeshkhali incidents to orchestrated attacks on opposition workers after elections. ‘Factories are fleeing, unemployment is soaring, and law enforcement has become a joke under Mamata Didi. Her crocodile tears fool no one now,’ Gupta remarked.

He outlined BJP’s robust groundwork, including grassroots mobilization and alliances with disgruntled TMC factions. With assembly polls just two years away, Gupta forecasted a BJP sweep that would force Banerjee into retirement. Analysts note that rising anti-incumbency and central government schemes gaining traction bolster this outlook.

Banerjee’s camp dismissed the remarks as ‘BJP’s desperate propaganda,’ but Gupta countered by urging voters to judge on performance metrics. This exchange underscores deepening rifts, setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown in Bengal’s corridors of power.
