Two enterprising scrap dealers from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, have purchased a decommissioned 55-seater Border Security Force (BSF) cargo plane with an ambitious plan: to convert it into a luxurious 5-star hotel. Virendra and Pushpendra Kushwaha, brothers and business partners, acquired the aircraft for approximately Rs 40 lakh. Their vision is to transform the retired plane into a unique accommodation featuring 4-5 rooms, offering guests an unparalleled experience of sleeping in an airplane while remaining grounded.
This innovative concept was inspired by a similar aircraft-turned-restaurant seen in Haryana. Pushpendra Kushwaha explained that they aim to elevate this idea by creating not just a hotel but also a five-star restaurant within the BSF aircraft. The project is set to be located in Ujjain’s Shankarpur area. Beyond the unique lodging, the brothers intend to dedicate the hotel’s theme to the Indian Armed Forces, drawing inspiration from operations like Operation Sindoor. This patriotic theme aims to send a positive message, fostering greater respect and appreciation for the military among visitors.
