Security Forces Conduct Major Operations in Manipur, Apprehending Militants and Seizing Weapons and Drugs

Between August 25th and August 31st, 2025, the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and Manipur Police conducted several operations across various districts in Manipur. These operations took place in the districts of Jiribam, Churachandpur, Bishnupur, Kakching, Tamenglong, Kangpokpi, Imphal West, and Imphal East. As a result of these operations, three militants were apprehended, and security forces recovered a significant cache of weapons, including 53 firearms, 7 IEDs, and approximately 10 lakh rupees worth of drugs, along with substantial war-like materials.
