    In Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, security forces engaged in an encounter that resulted in the neutralization of four Maoists on Saturday, July 26, 2025. The gunfight erupted in a forest area in the southwestern part of the district. The security operation was launched based on intelligence regarding the presence of Maoists. Following the encounter, the bodies of four Maoists were recovered from the site, along with a significant cache of weapons, including INSAS and SLR rifles. A prior operation in Jharkhand’s Bokaro district on July 16, 2025, involved a joint team targeting a group of CPI Maoists led by Sahdev Soren and Chanchal. During this operation, an exchange of fire occurred, resulting in the recovery of two bodies and the loss of one soldier from the 209 Battalion.
