Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has clarified his position regarding the All India Congress Committee (AICC) Other Backward Classes (OBC) Advisory Council. Contrary to media reports, he stated that he has been appointed as a member, not the chairman, of the council. He mentioned that he is yet to receive official confirmation of his membership. Siddaramaiah indicated his willingness to accept a leadership role if directed by the party’s high command. He also addressed the upcoming advisory committee meeting scheduled for July 15 in Bengaluru, which will be chaired by Dr. Anil Jaihind, the president of the AICC Backward Classes Department.
