Afghanistan experienced another powerful earthquake. Late Thursday, the tremors registered a magnitude of 5.8 on the Richter scale. Earlier this week, a strong earthquake caused over 2,000 fatalities and significant damage. In other news, Bhutanese Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay is scheduled to visit Ayodhya on Friday to offer prayers at the Ram Temple. District Magistrate of Ayodhya, Nikhil Tikaram Funde, confirmed that the district administration will extend a grand welcome to the foreign dignitary. A special banquet will be held in his honor at a hotel in Ayodhya. Uttar Pradesh’s Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi and several Union Ministers are expected to participate in the welcoming ceremony. Meanwhile, northern states continue to face the impact of persistent heavy rainfall. The rising water level of the Yamuna River in Delhi is also causing challenges for the capital city.
