An IndiGo flight, 6E 6571, traveling from Delhi to Kolkata on September 1st, was disrupted by a passenger exhibiting unruly behavior. The individual, reportedly a lawyer, began raising religious slogans including “Har Har Mahadev” and “Jai Shri Ram.” The incident occurred while the aircraft was still in the parking bay, where the passenger reportedly began misbehaving with the cabin crew and disturbing fellow passengers. The airline stated the passenger was under the influence of alcohol and allegedly acted inappropriately toward crew members. The passenger was also reportedly carrying alcohol in a soft drink bottle and made an offensive remark to a crew member. Although the passenger denied having alcohol in the bottle, they did admit to consuming alcohol earlier. The crew was reportedly asked by the passenger to raise a religious slogan.
