A tragic incident has unfolded in the Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh, where a two-and-a-half-month-old infant was reportedly taken from his room by a group of monkeys. The family alleges the monkeys then placed the child in a water drum, leading to his drowning. The incident occurred in the village of Surajpur. The child’s mother was occupied with household tasks when the monkeys are believed to have taken the baby. Upon discovering the child’s absence, the family initiated a search. After an extensive search, the infant was found deceased in a water-filled drum located on the roof of the house. The family rushed the child to medical professionals, who declared him dead. Local authorities have been notified and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the infant’s death. The family has stated that monkeys are frequent visitors to their home, leading them to suspect the animals’ involvement in the tragic event.
