A video and audio recording of a heated phone conversation and video call between Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Anjali Krishna from the Madha taluka of Solapur district has gone viral on social media. In the video, Ajit Pawar is heard ordering the police officer to immediately halt an operation against illegal sand mining. Pawar is heard threatening Anjali Krishna with action for not complying with his directives. The incident reportedly occurred on September 1st.

The situation unfolded when the DSP, Anjali Krishna, along with her team, had arrived to take action against illegal sand mining in the village of Kurdu, Madha taluka. The mining was taking place to build a village road. Local worker Baba Jagtap, affiliated with Ajit Pawar, contacted the Deputy Chief Minister and facilitated a conversation with Anjali Krishna.

During the call, Ajit Pawar identified himself and instructed the DSP to stop the operation and leave the site. He told her to inform her superiors, including Dr. Shejar, that he himself had made the call, and cited the need to prioritize the situation in Mumbai. He then directly ordered her to halt the action immediately.

In response, Anjali Krishna questioned the authenticity of the call. She asked for a direct call from him. Ajit Pawar responded by saying, “I will take action against you.” Anjali Krishna stated that she understood his words and provided her phone number to Pawar. Pawar then wrote down her number, and said he would make a video call to her so she could recognize his face. He then questioned her audacity. Ajit Pawar then made an immediate video call and ordered DSP Anjali Krishna to stop the operation and leave the site. The video also captured the scene with villagers and Ajit Pawar’s supporters using abusive language towards police and other officials. No action has been taken regarding this incident yet.
