A shocking incident has come to light in Chikkaballapur, Karnataka. A young man ensnared a widowed woman with a daughter, leading to marriage and registration. However, he abandoned her when she was eight months pregnant and married another woman, leaving her to seek justice. The woman, Kirti, lost her husband in 2022 and started working at a private company to support her daughter. There, she met Sunil, a resident of Ambiganahalli. Sunil deceived Kirti into marriage, and they registered their marriage at the sub-registration office in Chikkaballapur. Despite promising to care for her, Sunil abandoned Kirti, using family opposition as an excuse, and married another woman. Kirti then sought help at Sunil’s home in Ambiganahalli, where his parents and relatives allegedly assaulted her. Police intervened, rescuing the pregnant woman and admitting her to the Chikkaballapur Maternal and Child Hospital. It is alleged that Sunil also molested Kirti’s daughter. A complaint was filed at the Chikkaballapur Women’s Police Station a few years ago. Sunil had signed a letter promising to take good care of his pregnant wife. Kirti, who was already struggling to raise her daughter after her husband’s death, believed that Sunil would support her during her difficult times.
