In Maharashtra’s Sindhudurg district, a woman took action against a private bus driver who allegedly sent her obscene videos and messages. The woman confronted the driver in public and slapped him after discovering the driver had obtained her contact information from a ticket booking record. The woman had previously booked a ticket through a private travel company’s office in Kankavli and regularly used the company’s bus service for travel between Kankavli and Mumbai. On the evening of September 16, the woman, accompanied by another woman, went to the booking office near the Kankavli bus stand. She showed the driver the messages on her phone and subsequently slapped him multiple times. A video of the incident circulated on social media, showing the confrontation and the woman’s demand for an explanation, questioning the driver’s actions and expressing her shame.
