In a heartfelt address at the NCC Republic Day Camp 2026 in New Delhi, Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi connected deeply with the cadets, reminiscing about his own NCC journey. ‘These young faces embody India’s soul and the vision of a united, superior Bharat,’ he declared.

Upon arrival, cadets presented a formal Guard of Honour, showcasing their discipline. The Admiral showered praise on their sharp appearance, flawless drills, impressive band routines, and vibrant cultural presentations, capping it with the spirited naval cheer ‘Bravo Zulu’.

Tripathi felicitated the selected cadets and emphasized NCC’s transformative impact on youth, fostering patriotism and civic duty. He spotlighted the heroic involvement of 72,000 cadets in Operation Sindoor’s civil defense and applauded cutting-edge modules on drones and cybersecurity.

Referencing PM Modi’s vision of youth as global change-makers, the Chief envisioned their leadership in Viksit Bharat by 2047. NCC, he said, is adapting swiftly – merging classic training with tech-savvy skills in drones, cyber systems, and digital tools, equipping cadets for tomorrow’s challenges.

Sharing wisdom from his career, Admiral Tripathi advised: steer clear of distractions for self-mastery, pursue continuous education, draw bravery from martyrs like Arun Khetrapal and Mahendra Nath, prioritize teamwork, and persist relentlessly.

The Navy’s ongoing support for NCC includes real-world maritime training through Puneet Sagar and Sea Vigil, from sailing and seamanship to international exposures, giving cadets an authentic taste of naval service.

Calling on cadets to embrace unity, discipline, and honesty as lifelong principles and prioritize nation-building, the visit ended with a mesmerizing band performance by Birla Balika Vidyapeeth cadets and explorations of cultural flag zones and innovative tech displays featuring ship and aircraft models.
