Kolkata: Amid much buzz, former BJP State President Dilip Ghosh, known as the fighter (‘dabang’) leader, is getting married Friday with BJP Mahila Morcha leader in a small ceremony.
A team of senior BJP leaders- state President Sukanta Majumdar, BJP’s General Secretary (Organization) Amitabha Chakraborty, Bengal central observer & Bengal In-charge Mangal Pandey and another Bengal In-charge & National General Secretary Sunil Bansal, former MP Locket Chatterjee among others, met Ghosh and his mother at his residence today morning.
Majumdar said, “It is Ghosh’s personal affair. We have all come here to congratulate him for a prosperous future.”Ghosh (60), who has served as Rashtriya SwayamSevak Sangh at various levels, from a very young age, will be tying knot with party colleague Rinku Majumdar, who has long been going to morning walks with Dilip Ghosh’s team every morning at New Town’s Eco Park, where Ghosh goes for morning walks with his team of party leaders and CISF.
BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul said, “I congratulate Dilipda on his new journey. We expect a gala treat. I specially indebted to Dilipda for guiding me in my political career.”

Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress leadership has congratulated Ghosh. Trinamool spokesperson Kunal Ghosh, “Personal greetings to Dilip Ghosh. Don’t try to find politics in this.”Another Trinamool MLA Shoukat Mollah, congratulating Ghosh, said, “I am really happy that Ghosh is starting a new journey. We hoped to get a gala treat.”Meanwhile, it is learnt that a section of RSS leadership has requested Ghosh to prevent him from getting married. However, Ghosh has reportedly informed that it was his personal decision.
Ghosh was the most successful state President, during whose tenure BJP won 18 seats in 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
