Zimbabwe’s 21-year-old batsman, Brian Bennett, has etched his name in the history books, achieving a remarkable feat in a T20 International match. Bennett became the first player ever to hit six fours in a single over in a T20I. This unprecedented accomplishment occurred during the second semi-final of the World Cup qualifier against Kenya. Bennett’s explosive performance came in the fourth over of the innings. Facing Kenyan bowler Lucas Oluoch, he hammered six consecutive boundaries, setting a new world record. In addition to the record-breaking over, Bennett scored 51 runs off just 25 balls, with a strike rate exceeding 204. His innings included eight fours and two sixes. Earlier, Kenya batted first and scored 122 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. Bennett opened the innings for Zimbabwe and, along with his opening partner, added 76 runs to the scoreboard. Bennett was the first batsman from Zimbabwe to get out, but not before making a significant contribution. His 51 runs were a major part of the 76-run opening partnership, which included the record-breaking six fours in an over.
