Zimbabwe’s 21-year-old batsman, Brian Bennett, has etched his name in the history books, achieving a remarkable feat in a T20 International match. Bennett became the first player ever to hit six fours in a single over in a T20I. This unprecedented accomplishment occurred during the second semi-final of the World Cup qualifier against Kenya. Bennett’s explosive performance came in the fourth over of the innings. Facing Kenyan bowler Lucas Oluoch, he hammered six consecutive boundaries, setting a new world record. In addition to the record-breaking over, Bennett scored 51 runs off just 25 balls, with a strike rate exceeding 204. His innings included eight fours and two sixes. Earlier, Kenya batted first and scored 122 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. Bennett opened the innings for Zimbabwe and, along with his opening partner, added 76 runs to the scoreboard.
