Carlos Alcaraz has won the US Open 2025, marking his second US Open title. The Spanish tennis star defeated Italy’s Jannik Sinner in the final. Notably, Sinner was the world’s No. 1 men’s tennis player before the US Open 2025 final. Alcaraz not only secured the trophy but also claimed the top spot from Sinner.

Alcaraz triumphed over Sinner in the US Open 2025 final with scores of 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, and 6-4. This victory is his second US Open title and his sixth Grand Slam overall. This was the third Grand Slam final between the two players, with Alcaraz leading 2-1. In their nine hard-court encounters, Alcaraz has dominated Sinner with a 7-2 record. Overall, Alcaraz leads their head-to-head matches 10-5.

The final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner was played under a closed roof. This was due to rain. The match was also delayed by half an hour due to security measures and to give fans additional time to be seated.

Carlos Alcaraz celebrated his US Open win and becoming World No. 1 with an enthusiastic celebration. He popped champagne and also mimicked a cricket shot on the court to express his joy.
