Former captain Sourav Ganguly has shared his views on the potential challenges for Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in ODIs, given their recent retirements from the T20 format. Ganguly believes that maintaining fitness for 15 matches a year will be a significant hurdle. He also commented on Kohli’s decision to step away, suggesting that the former captain could have performed well in the England tour had he participated. Ganguly emphasized that the players themselves understand the game well and will make their own decisions, but eventually, the game moves on. He also referenced the importance of retiring at the right time, when people ask ‘why?’ instead of ‘why not?’.
