The Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 final between India and South Africa, scheduled to be held in Navi Mumbai, faced an unfortunate delay due to inclement weather. As fans eagerly awaited the clash, rain in Navi Mumbai disrupted the proceedings, pushing back the toss. But what happens if the persistent rain prevents the match from concluding on the scheduled day?

Organizers will make every effort to ensure a result on Sunday, November 2. Overs will only begin to be reduced after 5 PM IST, with an additional two hours available. A shortened game is still a possibility, with the cut-off for a 20-over per side match set for 9:08 PM IST. Crucially, if rain prevents any play on Sunday, a reserve day has been allocated for Monday, November 3, to determine the new Women’s World Cup champions. In the event that the reserve day is also a washout, both India and South Africa will be declared joint winners, sharing the coveted trophy.
