    The Indian cricket team showcased impressive form in the recent Test match against England, amassing 471 runs in the first innings, driven by centuries from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, and Shubman Gill. This performance adds to India’s rich history of high scores in Test matches played in England.

    India’s highest Test score in England was recorded at The Oval, London, on August 9, 2007, during the third Test of India’s tour. The batting lineup displayed exceptional prowess, with Dinesh Karthik (91), Rahul Dravid (55), Sachin Tendulkar (82), VVS Laxman (51), MS Dhoni (92), and Anil Kumble (110) contributing to a massive total of 664 runs. This record remains unbroken to date.

    Historically, the Indian team has achieved significant scores in England. These include 628/8d at Leeds in 2002, 606/9d at The Oval in 1990, and 521 at Nottingham in 1996. Currently, India is engaged in a five-match Test series in England, with the first match taking place in Headingley, Leeds. In the initial Test, India’s batting performance was outstanding, accumulating a total of 471 runs. In the second innings, Jasprit Bumrah made a significant impact by taking three crucial wickets, shifting the pressure back onto England.
