The auction for the fourth season of the SA20 T20 League of South Africa took place in Johannesburg. Record-breaking bids were seen during this event. Tristan Stubbs has been a part of this team since the first season. He will replace two-time champion captain Aiden Markram. Markram led Sunrisers to the title in 2023 and 2024. In the recent SA20 auction, he joined Durban Super Giants (DSG) for a record amount of 7 crore rupees. Due to this, Sunrisers Eastern Cape had to choose a new captain.
