The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have finalized their retained and released players list ahead of the upcoming IPL mini-auction. In a significant squad overhaul, LSG has chosen to part ways with several prominent names, including David Miller, Shardul Thakur, and Ravi Bishnoi. This strategic move comes as the team prepares to rebuild and strengthen its roster for the next season. While the Super Giants have retained 19 players, the departure of these key individuals signals a new direction. Thakur has been traded to Mumbai Indians, and Bishnoi’s release, after a considerable investment, leaves a noticeable gap in their spin department. The team also aims to address bowling depth, considering Mayank Yadav’s injury concerns and the inexperience of other pacers. The IPL mini-auction is scheduled for December 16th in Abu Dhabi, where LSG will look to secure fresh talent and viable backups to enhance their competitive edge.
