The New Zealand cricket team is gearing up for the T20 Tri-Series in Zimbabwe, featuring the hosts and South Africa. The squad announcement, however, raised eyebrows due to the absence of several prominent players. Mitchell Santner will lead the team, with Adam Milne and Matt Henry returning. The squad also includes the relatively new batsman Bevon Jacobs.

Several star players will be missing from the Kiwi squad for this T20 Tri-Series, including: Kane Williamson (playing county cricket), Ben Sears (injured), Lockie Ferguson (workload management), Kyle Jamieson (family reasons), and Devon Conway (declined central contract).

New Zealand Squad: Mitchell Santner (Captain), Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Jacob Duffy, Jack Foulkes, Matt Henry, Bewon Jacobs, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, William O’Rourke, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Tim Seifert, and Ish Sodhi.
