Following a controversial ‘gunshot’ celebration by Pakistani batsman Sahibzada Farhan during the Asia Cup 2025 Super-4 match against India, a significant dispute arose. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) lodged a complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) against Farhan and Haris Rauf, who had made gestures interpreted as mimicking a plane crash. Both players appeared before the ICC on September 26th. In an attempt to avoid punishment, Farhan referenced Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni.
