The Punjab Cricket Association is set to unveil new stands named after Indian cricket legends Harmanpreet Kaur and Yuvraj Singh at the PCA Stadium in Mullanpur. This significant tribute, scheduled for December 11th, coincides with the fourth T20I match between India and South Africa. The stadium, officially known as the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, will prominently feature these dedications. Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain who recently led India to a historic Women’s World Cup victory, will have a stand named in her honor, recognizing her monumental achievement. Alongside her, Yuvraj Singh, a celebrated all-rounder and two-time World Cup winner, will also have a dedicated stand, celebrating his invaluable contributions to Indian cricket. PCA Secretary Siddhant Sharma emphasized that these honors are a small token of appreciation for the immense pride these players have brought to the nation. He also highlighted the inspirational value this will have for young, aspiring cricketers, particularly girls, encouraging them to pursue their dreams. The ceremony is expected to be a memorable occasion for fans and players alike, marking a significant moment in recognizing cricketing excellence.
