In the second T20I match against South Africa, Phil Salt delivered a stunning performance. Salt hammered the South African bowlers all over the Manchester field. He scored a staggering 108 runs solely from boundaries. In doing so, he surpassed a record held by Suryakumar Yadav, the captain of India’s T20I team. Salt, along with wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler, forged a record-breaking opening partnership of 127 runs in just 47 balls, effectively silencing South Africa’s attack. During this innings, Salt also broke the record for the fastest century for England.
