The 5-match Test series is lengthy, demanding a lot of cricket. The recent India-England Test series was no exception. Following such a long series, there’s a focus on workload management to prevent injuries. However, this article highlights players who seemingly disregard workload concerns. Specifically, two players participated in another tournament just four days after the India-England Test series concluded. Not only did they participate, but they also delivered a performance that led their team to victory.

These players, who made a mark in the India-England Test series, are English cricketers Jack Crawley and Harry Brook. They played their first match in ‘The Hundred’ on August 7th, with Crawley and Brook playing pivotal roles in securing a win for Northern Superchargers in their opening match of the season.

Northern Superchargers faced off against Welsh Fire. Welsh Fire’s lineup included formidable batsmen like Steve Smith, Jonny Bairstow, and Tom Kohler. Welsh Fire batted first, scoring 143 runs for 9 wickets in their 100-ball innings, setting a target of 144 runs for Northern Superchargers.

For Northern Superchargers, Jack Crawley and Dawid Malan opened the innings, scoring 91 runs in the first 52 balls. Malan was dismissed after scoring 41 runs off 29 balls. However, Jack Crawley remained at the crease. Michael Pepper came in to support but was out after scoring just 4 runs. Then, Harry Brook joined Crawley, and together they dominated. Their batting display suggested no fatigue from the Test series.

Both batsmen remained not out, ensuring a victory for Northern Superchargers. Jack Crawley scored 67 runs off 38 balls, including 4 sixes and 5 fours. Harry Brook scored 25 runs off 15 balls, with 2 sixes and 1 four. Thanks to their outstanding batting, Northern Superchargers scored 147 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 89 balls, securing an 8-wicket win with 11 balls to spare. Jack Crawley was named Player of the Match.
