The return of Pro Wrestling League after six years has sparked a frenzy among fans, leading to packed venues and eager crowds. CEO and promoter Akhil Gupta revealed that this long hiatus has only amplified anticipation, turning opening matches into sell-out spectacles.

Season 2026 began on January 15 in Noida, culminating in a grand finale on February 1. Gupta, speaking candidly, described the scene: ‘Fans are pouring in numbers we haven’t seen before. Entry gates are swarmed with people clamoring for passes – a true testament to their unwavering support and the thrill of live wrestling.’

Shifting focus to expansion, Gupta emphasized PWL’s commitment to popularizing wrestling across India. Plans include spreading events to more cities, bolstered by international participation from over 17 nations. ‘It’s incredible to have US wrestlers here, drawn by the energy. Emotions ran high; even Susaki, new to private leagues, wants to make this an annual pilgrimage to India.’

The league’s operational prowess shines through its collaboration with the Wrestling Federation of India. ‘Our partnership with WFI is rock-solid, built on mutual respect. Viewer data is off the charts, and surprises await that will redefine the sport’s landscape in India.’

With stellar feedback from athletes and staff, PWL is poised to cement its status as India’s premier wrestling extravaganza. This edition promises not just matches, but a cultural phenomenon reshaping fan engagement.
