The final league stage match of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 between India and Bangladesh was abandoned due to persistent rain, leaving both teams with a shared point. This outcome confirms India’s semifinal berth, where they are scheduled to face formidable opponents Australia on Thursday, October 30th. The match, held at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, saw limited action before the weather intervened. Bangladesh managed 119/9 in a rain-curtailed 27 overs after India opted to bowl. India’s target was subsequently revised to 126 in 27 overs. However, before the chase could fully develop, rain halted play, with India at 57/0 in 8.4 overs. Notably, opener Smriti Mandhana remained unbeaten on 34, with Amanjot Kaur at 15. The match also saw an injury concern for India’s Pratika Rawal, who twisted her ankle and hurt her knee while fielding, casting a shadow over her availability for the crucial semifinal against Australia.
