In the 2024 DPL, Purani Dilli 6 displayed strong performances during the league stage. However, their semi-final match was washed out, ending their title aspirations. With Pant’s return, the franchise aims to build a more robust and well-rounded team.
Team owner Akash Nangia expressed his delight at Pant’s return, stating that Pant is integral to the team. His match-winning skills and leadership are seen as key advantages. Pant also shared his excitement, acknowledging the league’s role in nurturing young cricketers. The DPL is growing, with the addition of two new men’s teams, bringing the total to eight for the 2025 season. The player auctions are scheduled for July 6 (men) and July 7 (women) in New Delhi, with matches continuing at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
