Former Indian cricketer Saba Karim believes the Mumbai Indians (MI) have the advantage heading into Qualifier 2 against the Punjab Kings (PBKS), citing their strong momentum and dominant play. He also expressed hope that Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), led by Virat Kohli, could win the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the first time. Karim made these comments at the Fit India ‘Sundays on Cycle’ initiative in Delhi. Discussing the MI-PBKS clash, Karim noted MI’s strong bowling attack and overall performance as favorable for their victory. He highlighted that PBKS, despite topping the league stage, faced a significant defeat against RCB. On RCB’s chances, Karim acknowledged Kohli’s exceptional form, stating that it would be a rewarding moment for RCB fans if they secured the IPL title. Furthermore, he discussed India’s upcoming tour of England, anticipating a good performance from the young team under new captain Shubman Gill. Karim also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s support for young talent, specifically Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s impressive IPL performance.
