Pakistan’s rising star Sam Ayub has seized the numero uno spot in the ICC Men’s T20I all-rounders’ rankings, capping off a dream series against Australia with 119 runs and three crucial wickets. The 23-year-old opener displaced Sikandar Raza, marking a significant milestone for Pakistan cricket amid their resurgence.

Ayub’s consistent performances with both bat and ball have highlighted his versatility, positioning him as a key player for Pakistan’s future campaigns, including the 2026 T20 World Cup.

On the Indian front, wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan scripted a fairy-tale comeback in the New Zealand series. After a long absence, he aggregated 207 runs in three games—76, 28, and a blazing 103—his first T20I ton. This heroics catapulted him 32 rungs to 32nd in batting ranks, a timely boost ahead of global showdowns.

Suryakumar Yadav strengthened India’s presence by climbing to sixth among batters, eclipsing Sahibzada Farhan, with Abhishek Sharma firmly entrenched at the summit.

Bowlers also saw drama: Abrar Ahmed of Pakistan is now second, just 28 points shy of leader Varun Chakaravarthy. Mohammad Nawaz surged eight spots to seventh with five wickets in Australia. Adil Rashid moved to fourth, and Mitchell Santner leaped to 23rd.

Batting leaderboard updates feature Jos Buttler at third, Pathum Nissanka at fifth, Tim Seifert at ninth, and Ryan Rickelton’s meteoric 42-place rise to 40th. As rankings evolve, they reflect the dynamic nature of T20 cricket, where form can rewrite hierarchies overnight.
