Indian paddler Sreeja Akula was defeated in the women’s singles final at the WTT Contender Lagos, losing 1-4 to Honoka Hashimoto of Japan. Hashimoto dominated the initial games, but Akula showed resilience in the fourth, only to lose the match with a final score of 13-11 in the fifth game.
