ChatGPT is expanding its presence in India, focusing on accessible AI solutions. Discussions are underway with Reliance Industries to broaden AI offerings. OpenAI aims to penetrate the Indian market with cost-effective plans, leading to the introduction of ChatGPT Go, a subscription priced at ₹399 per month. Announced by Nick Turley, OpenAI’s VP and Head of ChatGPT, the Go version offers significantly enhanced features compared to the free tier, including higher messaging and image generation limits, increased file upload capacity, and more memory. This plan is a more budget-friendly option compared to the existing ChatGPT and ChatGPT Pro plans, which are priced at ₹19,900 per month. OpenAI has also integrated UPI payments to ease the subscription process for Indian users. The Go plan provides extended access to GPT-5, increased image generation, file upload capacity, advanced data analysis, longer memory, and the ability to build personalized AI tools. However, features like access to legacy models, third-party integrations, Sora video creation tools, and API usage (billed separately) are not included.
