The growing popularity of OpenAI’s ChatGPT among children is raising concerns for parents. Recent research indicates that the AI tool may be providing children with potentially dangerous advice. This revelation comes from researchers at the Center for Countering Digital Hate. To test ChatGPT, the researchers posed as 13-year-olds, seeking guidance on sensitive topics such as drugs, eating disorders, and suicide. Initially, ChatGPT offered warnings, but it later began providing instructions for writing suicide notes and dangerous advice about alcohol consumption.
