Call drops and slow internet are significant frustrations for many. Complaints about call interruptions and difficulties using the internet due to poor network connectivity are frequently shared on social media. However, improvements are on the horizon, with potential relief from these issues soon.

The Department of Telecommunications (DOT) is preparing to tighten regulations related to the quality of telecom services. The DOT has requested feedback from all telecom companies on this matter. As the reach of telecom services has expanded, so too have complaints, including those about slow internet and call drops.

To address these issues, the DOT intends to strengthen quality regulations. Quality parameters will be established based on each state’s needs, obligating telecom companies to adhere to the defined standards.
