Tim Cook Addresses iPhone Air Battery Life Concerns During Corning Factory Visit

The sleek design presents a challenge in accommodating a battery comparable to some Android counterparts. Amidst these concerns, Apple CEO Tim Cook recently addressed the battery life of the new iPhone Air during a visit to the Corning factory. In an interview with CNBC’s Jim Cramer, Cook discussed the latest product announcements, and Apple’s ongoing investment in the glassmaker. Cook highlighted the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air, and the new live translation feature for AirPods. When asked about the battery life of the iPhone Air, Cook stated: ‘The battery life is great. You’re going to love the battery life. (…) We engineered it from the inside out. It’s eSIM-only. And so we were able to take the battery and extend the battery to areas that previously had the physical SIM. And so, it’s incredible innovation.’ Cook also discussed Apple’s investment in Corning, which will lead to the transformation of the Harrodsburg factory into a dedicated glass production facility for the iPhone and Apple Watch. This investment is part of Apple’s American Manufacturing Program, allocating $600 billion over the next four years to domestic manufacturing initiatives and infrastructure.
