A multi-party delegation, spearheaded by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, landed in Berlin on Thursday to represent India’s unified stance against terrorism. The delegation, comprising members from various political parties, was welcomed by India’s Ambassador to Germany, Ajit Gupte. This visit is part of the Indian government’s ongoing diplomatic efforts under Operation Sindoor, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. During their stay in Germany from June 5-7, the delegation will engage with senior German officials from the Bundestag and Federal Foreign Office, as well as key representatives from think tanks and the Indian community. The delegation had previously visited Belgium where they discussed concerns over terrorism and highlighted Pakistan’s alleged support for terrorist groups, posing a threat to democracy. Former Deputy National Security Advisor Pankaj Saran noted that the EU recognizes India’s rise as a major economic and geopolitical force. The visit follows Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The Indian Armed Forces subsequently conducted targeted strikes against terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
