One of the largest demonstrations in recent British history occurred in London on Saturday, as over 100,000 protesters marched under the banner of anti-immigration activist Tommy Robinson. During the demonstrations, several police officers were attacked, as reported by the police. According to police, approximately 110,000 people participated in the event called the ‘Unite the Kingdom’ march.

The police stated that around 110,000 people participated in Robinson’s ‘Unite the Kingdom’ march, which was kept separate from a nearby ‘Stand Up To Racism’ protest, attended by approximately 5,000 people.

The march, organized by right-wing activist Tommy Robinson, turned violent when a small group of his supporters clashed with police officers who were separating them from the other protesters.

The Metropolitan Police reported that several police officers were kicked, punched, and injured by bottles thrown by people during the ‘Unite the Kingdom’ rally. Additional forces, equipped with helmets and riot shields, were deployed to assist the more than 1,000 police officers on duty.

At least nine people were arrested, but the police indicated that several other offenders had been identified and would be held accountable. Police estimated that approximately 110,000 people attended Robinson’s march, while the ‘March Against Fascism’ protest organized by Stand Up To Racism drew about 5,000 participants.

In response to the attacks, additional forces were deployed, including officers in protective gear and mounted units to help restore order. Many protesters wore ‘Make America Great Again’ hats associated with U.S. President Donald Trump. Slogans criticizing Prime Minister Keir Starmer were chanted, and placards with messages like ‘Send them home’ were displayed.

The march began with protests outside hotels housing migrants in Britain, with participants waving Union Jack and red-and-white St. George’s Cross flags. Some also displayed American and Israeli flags. Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, founded the nationalist and anti-Islamist English Defence League and is one of the most influential right-wing leaders in Britain. The march was presented as a demonstration in support of freedom of expression.

Tesla CEO and X platform owner Elon Musk, who has engaged in British politics several times this year, appeared in a video criticizing the British government. He expressed concern over the large-scale, uncontrolled immigration he sees as contributing to Britain’s rapid deterioration.
