During a press conference at the ‘100 Years of Sangh Yatra: New Horizons’ lecture series in New Delhi, celebrating the centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat discussed population and family size. Bhagwat stated that every person in the country should have three children, adding that if the birth rate falls below three, the population would gradually diminish. This statement has surprised many, given the ongoing concerns about India’s growing population. Furthermore, Bhagwat’s comments highlighted the global trend of various countries actively promoting larger families by offering financial incentives and support to parents.
