Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held discussions with Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Delhi. Wang emphasized the need for both nations to learn from their 75-year history, promoting the correct strategic perception. He suggested viewing each other as partners rather than rivals or threats. Wang stated that the resurgence of two great Eastern civilizations would strengthen each other, bringing certainty and stability to Asia and the world.

Wang highlighted the importance of strengthening the positive momentum in improving bilateral relations between China and India. He noted that the ongoing global transformations are accelerating. Practices of unilateral intimidation are increasing, while free trade and the international order face serious challenges. He added that on the 80th anniversary of the United Nations’ founding, humanity stands at a crossroads, deciding the direction of the future.
