In her first public statement, Kirk is advocating for complete transparency in the upcoming murder trial of Tyler Robinson, the individual accused of killing her husband at Utah Valley University in September. Kirk expressed her desire for the trial proceedings to be publicly accessible and televised, emphasizing the need for openness.
“There were cameras all over my husband when he was murdered,” Kirk stated during an interview. “There have been cameras all over my friends and family, mourning. There have been cameras all over me analysing my every move, every smile, every tear. We deserve to have cameras in there.” She further elaborated on the importance of transparency, asking, “Why not be transparent? There’s nothing to hide. Let everyone see what true evil is. This could impact generations to come.”
During the interview, Kirk became visibly emotional when a tribute video of her late husband was shown. “Sorry guys, just give me a second,” she shared, her voice choked with tears. “This is the longest video I’ve watched of him.
