Families of hostages held by Hamas have staged a protest outside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s official residence in Jerusalem. They established a demonstration in front of the PM’s residence, opposing Israeli military actions in Gaza City. The families believe that Israeli attacks could endanger the lives of those held captive by Hamas.

The protesters include relatives of 48 individuals who are hostages in Gaza. Several family members, including the parents of Matan Zangauker, Matan Engrest, and Rom Braslavsky, are sleeping on the streets. Despite police denying permission for tents, they spent the night in sleeping bags, refusing to leave.

In the Israel-Hamas conflict, there have been 65,000 fatalities.
Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, resulting in the deaths of 1,200 Israeli citizens, with over 250 civilians taken hostage. According to Palestinian health officials, over 64,000 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza. The Israeli attacks have caused 1.9 million Palestinians to flee Gaza.

    Regarding a Gaza ceasefire agreement:
Hamas stated in August that it had agreed to a deal under which 10 living hostages and the bodies of 18 deceased hostages would be handed over to Israel during a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza. In exchange, Israel would release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. However, Netanyahu stated that any agreement would be accepted only if all of his conditions were met, including Hamas laying down its arms and the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip. Despite this, the hostages have not been released even after a month.
