Heavy rainfall has brought severe hardship not only to India but also to neighboring Pakistan. The situation is worsening, with hundreds of villages in Punjab province submerged due to floods. Water covers the landscape as people evacuate to safer locations. According to authorities, approximately 17 people have died in the past 24 hours due to the heavy rainfall. The floods, attributed to the overflowing of the Sutlej, Ravi, and Chenab rivers, have led to large-scale evacuations in the province, home to over 130 million people. The floods have caused significant damage, with millions of acres of agricultural land inundated.
