A fierce gun battle in Balochistan’s Barkhan district resulted in the deaths of four Baloch fighters. The clash, which occurred in the Koh-e-Jandar area of Rakni tehsil, involved a prolonged exchange of fire with a pro-government armed group. The deceased were identified as Mustafa Noor, Samiullah, Rasaan Qadir, and Shahzaib. Their bodies were taken to a Rakni hospital. The opposing group is widely considered a state-backed militia. No official statement has been released by Pakistani authorities regarding the incident. Separately, heavy fighting was reported in Mastung district’s Spilinji area during a military operation by Pakistani forces. Intense gunfire and explosions were heard, and casualties were reported on both sides, though the exact numbers are unknown. No Baloch armed group has claimed responsibility for the Spilinji clashes. The events highlight the ongoing conflict between nationalist groups and state forces in Balochistan.
