At least 34 Palestinians were killed in multiple Israeli strikes across Gaza on Monday, according to reports. The attacks occurred shortly after Israel announced a temporary pause in military operations to facilitate aid delivery, a move aimed at easing the severe humanitarian crisis in the region. While Israel had eased some restrictions on aid, including airdrops, the ongoing violence and limited access continue to exacerbate the critical shortages of food and medicine. The easing of restrictions followed a period where Israel had severely limited the entry of essential supplies into Gaza. Despite the recent measures, aid agencies report that the assistance is insufficient, and the population continues to struggle with severe hunger. Tragically, some Palestinians have risked their lives to access aid, with reports of deaths near aid distribution sites. The Health Ministry in Gaza, which is regarded as a reliable source for casualty figures, reports a devastating toll of over 59,800 Palestinian deaths during the conflict, with women and children comprising a significant portion of the fatalities.
