Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baqaei, stated that the recent attack on the US military base Al-Udeid was an act of self-defense, carried out under Article 51 of the UN Charter. This response followed US airstrikes on Iranian territory on June 22nd. Baqaei clarified that the action was not directed at Qatar, emphasizing the strong and friendly relationship between the two nations. In a post on X, Baqaei reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to good relations with Qatar and other friendly countries. Former US President Donald Trump, commenting on the situation, downplayed the impact of Iran’s missile attack, praising the preparedness of American forces.
