    The recent defense agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia has been welcomed by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, he hailed the pact as the beginning of a comprehensive regional security system. Under the terms of the agreement, any attack on Pakistan or Saudi Arabia will be considered an attack on both nations, and they will jointly respond. The agreement was signed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the Al-Yamama Palace in Riyadh. Addressing the UNGA, the Iranian President stated that Iran welcomes this defense agreement between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, seeing it as the start of a comprehensive security system through cooperation in political, security, and defense fields among Muslim countries in West Asia.
