Karachi residents are enduring significant water shortages due to a power disruption at the Dhabeji Pumping Station. The power outage, which affected the pumping station, has yet to be fully resolved, leading to widespread water supply issues across the city. The city faces a shortfall of over 350 million gallons per day (MGD), exacerbating the already inadequate daily supply. The K-III Pumping House is currently out of service, further limiting water distribution. Repair efforts are delayed due to accumulated rainwater, according to K-Electric. Another breakdown at Damloti Pumping Station has also contributed to supply disruptions in several areas.
