The Kremlin has issued a stark warning regarding potential actions by the Trump administration to aid Ukraine, suggesting these could have devastating consequences. Russian officials have cautioned that the provision of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine would significantly worsen the existing conflict.

Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin’s spokesperson, made this statement, indicating that Moscow would view such a decision as a major provocation, prompting a strong response. Peskov stated that such a move would constitute a new and serious escalation of tensions, necessitating an adequate response from Russia.

This warning from the Kremlin follows recent discussions about the United States allowing Ukraine to strike inside Russia with long-range missiles. This represents a potential policy shift by the Trump administration, which Moscow views as crossing a dangerous red line. Peskov dismissed the notion that advanced weapons could change the course of the war, emphasizing that Russia’s military objectives remain unchanged.

Peskov addressed both American and European aid, stating that there is no magical weapon for Kyiv and that no single weapon can completely alter the events on the front lines. He also warned about signals from some US officials suggesting approval of long-range strikes within Russian borders, adding that Russia would respond if such actions occurred and that the consequences would be severe. While he reiterated Russia’s positive stance toward establishing peace, he cited Kyiv’s obstruction as a primary obstacle.
