On Saturday night, approximately 25 small hot air balloons entered Lithuanian airspace near Vilnius. Some of these balloons were found to be carrying smuggled cigarettes. The presence of the balloons led to the closure of Vilnius Airport, causing the cancellation of 30 flights and affecting about 6,000 passengers. Flights resumed on Sunday morning.
