Actress Manisha Koirala shared her perspectives on Nepali politics during a podcast, suggesting that the constitution should have included a provision for the monarchy. She also acknowledged that the constitution has not succeeded in delivering justice to the people of Nepal. Koirala hails from a prominent political family in Nepal; her father, Prakash Koirala, served as a minister, and her grandfather, BP Koirala, was the first prime minister of Nepal.

When asked about the frequent changes in government in Nepal, Koirala stated that she is critical of the current political landscape, a sentiment she has held since childhood. She recalled her father’s emphasis on politics as a form of service and a vision for the people. However, she noted that problems arise when this vision deviates from reality.
